In December 2020 the notification form for pressure injuries stage 3 and above was updated. The form now includes a section for reporting of mucosal pressure injuries.

Lack of awareness and support are two of the biggest hurdles faced by consumers and whānau affected by a rare disease, disorder or health condition. This Sunday 28 February is international Rare Disease Day which raises awareness for rare diseases.

Babies of Māori, Pacific and Indian mothers are still more likely than babies of New Zealand European mothers to die in pregnancy or within the first 28 days, the Perinatal and Maternal Mortality Review Committee 14th report shows.
