This training video illustrates the principles of a just and fair culture.
People need to feel safe and secure to speak up when a medication error has occurred. For this to happen they need to work in a just and fair culture where people:
- support and respect each other
- communicate openly
- don’t jump to conclusions
- learn from mistakes
- work together to address harm and protect patients from harm
- aim to keep improving.
