Family violence experts in the criminal court: the need to fill the void

On behalf of the Family Violence Death Review Committee, a paper about family violence experts in the criminal court was recently published in the journal of Psychiatry, Psychology and Law. The paper discusses the role of family violence expert evidence and argues for the need for adequately trained and experienced specialists to provide that evidence within the criminal jurisdiction of the District Court and High Court in Aotearoa New Zealand, read it below or via this link
