The Australia and New Zealand hip fracture registry provides a database and system for the collection and reporting of data, aligned to the clinical care standard for hip fracture care, and a learning opportunity to help provide the best care we can to hip fracture patients. Find out more about the clinical care standard.
A New Zealand Implementation & Management Committee (NZIMC) has been formed to oversee implementation of the hip fracture registry in New Zealand. The NZIMC comprises representatives from the Commission, the Australian and New Zealand Society of Geriatric Medicine, the New Zealand Orthopaedic Association, the Ministry of Health, the Accident Compensation Corporation and Osteoporosis New Zealand. Other stakeholders are involved as necessary.
The Commission has helped to develop a hip fracture recovery information booklet to meet the needs of the population in Aotearoa New Zealand. The booklet supports the implementation of standard 7 transition from hospital care from the clinical care standard for hip fracture care.
The booklet is available to view or download here in A4 or A5 formats.
