Lockdown and physical distancing can mean that we can’t deliver classroom-based Serious Illness Conversation Guide (SICG) workshops.
If we are able to hold face-to-face workshops or if you are unable to attend a face-to-face workshop, we have created a video to support you to feel more prepared when talking to patients/residents and whānau about their prognosis, their priorities, concerns and goals of care.
The training video will help clinicians in all health settings. It includes information about the guide, the adaptation of the guide to support conversations about COVID-19 prognosis and goals of care.
Before watching
Before you watch the video we recommend you download and read the three serious illness conversation guides:
- Aotearoa Serious Illness Conversation Guide
- Patient COVID-19 Serious Illness Conversation Guide – guide to support conversations with patients.
